Actually the shaving off of the hair is done because long hair is seen by many as feminine and then you factor in jobs where they discriminate against men with long hair and/or dreads then you get even more of a reason to cut your hair.

A better comparison would be if men straightened their hair to match europeans own like back in the day yet most black men dont do that anymore.

And we Black women also get discriminated against for wearing our hair natural if you don't know. My hair is very long and at a previous job of mine, when I didn't have the time to do a braid out the night before and just went in with a wash and go fro I was reprimanded.

i see more BM rocking their hair naturally than black women. most of you have perms, wigs and weaves in LA. you'll also find nikkas w/longer hair than most BW too.

but regardless of that, i wish BW would make up their minds. one minute they blame black males for their self hatred, next minute you're blaming the establishment.(i.e white men) for hating your hair. THEN, y'all turn around and tell us cacs appreciate your hair more

I didnt focus too much on that part of your post because Ive mainly seen black men stress hairlines compared to sistas wearing weaves and emulating white women to the point where they are saying "thank god im not natural" when they see other natural sistas around.

most black males out here have ditched the waves, we aint in HS anymore. i have no reason to lie about my surroundings. more black men rock their naturally than BW. like i said, y'all out here w/wigs, lacefronts, perms, braid extentions, weaves. nikkas on the other hand are growing their out naturally. call it gang culture or whatever, but theres also more nikkas with longer hair. cornrows, braids, ponytails or just pressed. hell, my hair is about 8-9 inches, where as these habitual "big choppers" cant seem to get passed a 3-4 inch mini-fro.

Go back and read my posts. You are way too emotional and its preventing you from actually reading and comprehending. I never said what you just said or anything close to it.

The issue is not that Black women don't have issues with our hair. We obviously do. The issue is that Black men pretend they don't and that hair is an arena where they are very comfortable and prideful. That level of pretending is delusional at worst and hilariously inaccurate at best. The other issue is that Black men purposefully and delusionally ignore all other areas that point to self hatred and focus on the one where they feel they can rail Black women on. So yes, the OP is 100% accurate in his assertion, and its funny that all the Black men could do when they came in here is to divert to hair (which they also aren't shining beacons of either) to deflect from their self hatred.
