Interstate Highways/Roads, Medicare, Medicaid, Central Government, the CDC, the welfare, food and drug regulation, THE MILITARY, sewage, water, and basically everything in your life has gone through the government at some point.

Now im not saying thats perfect...but the cost and the fallout to PRIVATIZING all of that would not only ruin the country it would have MASSIVE global ramifications.

And because of low voter turnout in local elections, Obama's power to effect change that perhaps you would be happy about, was hamstrung because that's the nature of our government.

Checks and Balances in order to avoid massive consolidation of power...and sometimes that works to a detriment but it can be avoided if everyone participates in the voting process.
