It's actually a fairly frequent talking point that people cry about in regards to Drake... Now granted, it may be sometimes lost in that daily grind of muhfukkas crying about Drake on the internet from every conceivable angle for literally years on end now... But it is indeed a common criticism...So I can't say to what extent "why does he get away with it" is even a valid question...The OP had to excuse away like five different instances that seemingly disprove the premise before even framing the argument lol...

Ignoring that I think the whole thread is fallacious, the obvious answer is "he gets away with it" for the same reason 97% of rappers/entertainers that don't make it a concerted effort to make "I'm socially conscious y'all " a part of their gimmick and branding do... The everyday nicca/female can relate when they listen to a Drake joint. But relatability doesn't mean substance. There's not much substance to his music.

Him being a mixed Canadian also plays a part. He doesn't have to embrace political, cultural and societal issues because he's not fully Black and he's not American. So it gives him an easy out.
