Because they dont owe us anything, we shouldnt think that they should help with any problems in the black community. I know that gang life is real and I wish it would it fade away. The West and MidWest have had generations of gang members unlike over here in the East.

Out of sight. Out of mind. Black peopel tend to think whites think about them as much as blacks think about whites. This is not the case. They purposely put you into neighborhoods with each other in blighted parts of the city that they never have to visit. White people won't "save" Chicago until the violence hits their backyards and spills over. Oddly enough broke black people would rather rob other broke black people instead of robbing the richer white people. I mean how dumb is it to keep robbing poor people? Let a string of robberies and murders happen in their communities and they will destroy every gang member by Wednesday. For now it's out of sight, out of mind.

People will get mad and attack a person who has nothing to do with those problems that existed before he was even born but is simply making an observation... as is tradition.

and a side note... People have been saying "stop the violence" for 50 years. Marching doesn't do shyt either. Things don't magically get better.
