Japan would never. Although there's a handful of them that want the U.S military out there country, they need it for protection against China. If the U.S would've never set up based over there and in S.Korea, Japan would be food for China and Russia a long time ago.

Probably? The US completely rebuilt Japan’s economy and set them on the path to economic dominance. The black comparison would be if Lincoln hadn’t died and the US completed reconstruction - US military escort/security for southern freed black slaves, redistribution of southern land to black people, etc. If that had happened you can best believe we wouldn’t be talking about slavery much today. We’d have economic freedom and power.

It's their culture. At the end of the day, the US came in and picked up the partnership where Germany left off. And part of the reason why Germany at that time liked Japan, is because they were just as capitalistic.
