Wilson is seen as more Conservative, not as controversial and not as flashy so he doesn't really cause any controversy (which is fine), Newton is a flashy player and is seen as being way more outside of the White mainstream thus he gets way more backlash, plus I think more people see Newton as your cool homeboy who made it compared to Wilson who gives off a very private school preppy background that a lot of folks don't find relatable on here
