As ridiculous as that woman is, you've probably heard more homophobic and inflammatory anti-gay stuff on this website from atheist posters, than from what we've heard from this woman since this controversy broke.
im not only concerned with dissin women

if they think jesus is real, thats fine :heh: i would never procreate with a woman stupid enough to think the fate of us and our family lies with a jewish space zombie who's never interacted with either of us:scusthov:

and i wouldnt expect a woman who belives in that trash to step outside of her comfort zone :yeshrug: . its fine, im not the fukkin end all be all. its just stupid and irrational, superstitous and counterproductive

i want my woman to be pro active instead of talk to the sky when we run into problems

My interest lies in answering what's so repulsive about the idea of atheism to women.

:sas1:

Would the name/type of deity a woman believes in, be important to you. Would she have to be atheist? I think repulsive is a very strong word breh. For context, do have an anecdote or is this more of a sweeping generalisation. The answer to your question probably lies there.

As your thread shows these topics are toxic. It seems decent people, atheists, theists, deists and agnostics alike tend to resort to ad hominems, frothing at the mouth type rage and full blown ignorance. From a distance you cant really tell who is who.

Truth is, it aint that serious, people can claim allegiances to anything, we never truly know what they believe. Its kinda difficult for me to separate, what someone says they believe in, from cultural indoctrination, cognitive bias, Pascals Wager and flat out fear of being left out of the pack/flock.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

Deism

The belief that God has created the universe but remains apart from it and permits his creation to administer itself through natural laws. Deism thus rejects the supernatural aspects of religion, such as belief in revelation in the Bible, and stresses the importance of ethical conduct.
never knew there was a name for it... this is EXACTLY what i think

i don't think there's a man up there snapping his fingers and creating worlds... i do believe the process of the creation of the universe was started by "god", and not some completely random event... i do believe we evolved from 1 celled organisms, yet i do believe "god" was responsible that being set in motion

like i continue to say... have belief in something.. most women don't care WHAT faith you are... just that you have faith

why would i want to be with a man i'm not compatible with?...we do not share the same perspective...like another poster said...it's basically 2 different worlds

like for instance....people are in here talking about a man in the sky...when GOD is a spirit...

it's all about spirituality...

You are right. I am wrong.
You are correct. I am not.
Your word is truth. Mines are lies.
There's literally no need for that. If you're wrong you're wrong. The passive aggressive nonsense just proves just how childish you really are, and I really don't care who co-signs you because that really just illustrates the thirst that permeates this message board.

You straight up tried to allude a few posts ago that the yin and yang concepts are also in Confucianism and that's incorrect, plain and simple. Confucianism is about how one carries themselves, and moralistic codes and ethics. It has ZERO to do with yin and yang.

What you said were not "lies". You're just wrong. You thought it was one thing but you were incorrect. Picture me telling someone who studies nuclear physics that splitting a uranium atom will not cause a huge explosion.

Scientist: Splitting that atom would cause a massive explosion.

Me: Well...MY interpretation of what would happen...

Scientist:

I have friends that are Atheists, Agonotic, Muslim, Hebrews (not whites), Buddhist, etc. Personally I don't give a rass what you believe in. As long as your happy. I use to have a problem with it but i asked myself, who am I to judge ones happiness? I know plenty of religious and non religious folks that date each other or is married to each other.

My suggestion to you, rather than be salty and do the whole passive aggressive shtick is to go out and purchase two nice copies of The Analects of Confucius and The Tao Te Ching. Find copies with a good Foreword in the beginning that will break down the concepts you for if you're really interested in those schools of philosophy and religion. But don't just co-opt and basterdize other cultures in an effort to make yourself feel good. Keep it hip hop, fam.

A Hindu would NOT say how can you not believe in Sheeva as they would think they are on their own path. They may think they are further behind them on said path but would NOT say that.

Christians think everybody should be following their religion just like hindus think the same

Jesus
anyone who 'knows' something is real would react that way

when it comes down to it, you look at me like 'how can you not believe in jesus'. youre so sure that hes real and he talks to you n all that :dead:

Not if it would set them back in some way. Talk to a Hindu. See for yourself.
