why dont women propose to men?

usually women want to get married. women are ready for the wedding. men are not. women wait to be asked because marriage is dependent on the guy getting to the point of wanting to do it

My girl wanted to propose to me ... she "joked" about it for a minute and I accidentally found out before she did it ... I basically shut it down by telling her indirectly that if we ever get married, I wanna propose.
As a man, I personally would like to propose because I am more traditional and I think men should be the one to do certain things.
I will say this though - if you a girl and you don't care for traditional gender roles or you are one of those women who try so hard to act/be like a man ... you shouldn't have any qualms about who is proposing and suddenly play up the woman card.
