I just don't care about it...battle rap is the final frontier of hip hop. It is hip hop in its purest form.
It's not about record labels, it's not about who has the hottest producer, it's not about how many IG and Twitter followers a battle rapper has.
Biting and copying somebody's style is forbidden and heavily ground upon. Recycling is not allowed and heavily frowned upon. Battle rappers have no doubt the best pens, the most creativity and are able to perform on big stages.
So having said that, why don't you fukk with it?
I saw 2 great battles but I don't care enough to find more...

Well perhaps URL and them other rap battle companies should take notes..... 106 & Park's freestyle friday was the most popular rap battle series EVER and they rapped over beats. It had crossover appeal, and when i say crossover I don't mean race, I mean people from the North. south, east, west.
85% of todays rap battle fans are from up north. That should tell you something.
Up north nikkas the only ones still complaining about no lyrics in hiphop..... but todays listeners around the world just want good beats to turn up too...... So with that being said, rap battle needs to evolve with the climate of today..... They need to rap over beats.

Honestly it doesn't have replay value like listening to a recording of your favorite artist that inspire you to get up and grind.

For me pre-writtens isnt battling, yet this is what it has progressed to.
1st it was off the dome.
Then it begins to transcend where you had cats that WOULD slip pre-thought lines into off the dome battles.
Now its just all out witty phrased pre-writtens.
Dont get me wrong.
Some of those cats are nice.
BUT
Most of the flows and cadences used in todays battleraps just seem to one-dimensional and contrived.

Then it begins to transcend where you had cats that WOULD slip pre-thought lines into off the dome battles.
Now its just all out witty phrased pre-writtens.
Dont get me wrong.
Some of those cats are nice.

these corny losers have months to write their shyt. delivery is too dramatic. fukk it...everything about battle rap is corny and wack. When they made the Blaze Battles a pay-per-view event...that was the end.
