For me pre-writtens isnt battling, yet this is what it has progressed to.

1st it was off the dome.

Then it begins to transcend where you had cats that WOULD slip pre-thought lines into off the dome battles.

Now its just all out witty phrased pre-writtens.

Dont get me wrong.

Some of those cats are nice.

BUT

Most of the flows and cadences used in todays battleraps just seem to one-dimensional and contrived.

I prefer the old school style of battling with a beat and you get like 30-60 seconds to do your thing....this new acapella style where they give eachother 3 months to write a diss just isnt my thing.

there are some good battles out there but i'd rather see something on the spot and organic.

plus when you watch these battles..its like 95% inside jokes...they drop all these lines about other unknown battle rappers so its like wtf am i even watching?

It's the same unoriginal rhymes about how many guns you got, how many bytches you fukked, how much weight you move, and how they'll blow you're brains out if you come at them.

That's about 80-95% of what these dudes bars are about and it lacks any real creativity.

Breh, if you watched battle rap in 2015-16 you would definitely see the grand levels of creativity that battle rappers have. Do you know what schemes, angles, triple entendres and real talk rounds are?

Batlerap is for the nikkas that love the essence of rap.

Young Guru is on record sayin Jay Z is addicted to the shyt.

Lupe Fiasco, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Styles P, Lloyd Banks, Kendrick Lamar, etc are too

All the lyricists in the game are into it, that'll tell you nikkas that downplay batlerap something

battle rap is the final frontier of hip hop. It is hip hop in its purest form.
It's not about record labels, it's not about who has the hottest producer, it's not about how many IG and Twitter followers a battle rapper has.

:comeon:

Biting and copying somebody's style is forbidden and heavily ground upon. Recycling is not allowed and heavily frowned upon. Battle rappers have no doubt the best pens, the most creativity and are able to perform on big stages.

:salute:

So having said that, why don't you fukk with it?

Best pens? :mjlol:

Most creativity? :russ:

Most battle rappers tend to make shytty music

Talk to these nikkaz Reasonable :damn:

All of those battles you posted are fire. I find it hard to understand how a fan of hip hop could call any of it wack or boring or corny
