I'm tired of it. I got into back in like 2001-2002. The industry behind it is corny too just like the music industry. Lots of politics and favoritism going on. In the top leagues you got these old heads that marked out years ago that are still around that need to sit they a$$ down. The gang bs that's going on in the sport is just sickening too. Surprised no one has gotten smoked at an event yet.
:comeon:Battle rappers take lyrics from off the internet just like these industry rappers and some of them have ghostwriters to. I know this for a fact. Don't overrate their pen. Like I said before, there are only a hand few of Geniuses in the game, everyone else borrows from them.

What labels are backing battle rappers? :what:

There has only been one battle rapper in recent history that has got rhymes off the net.

What was the last battle you watched

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
you calling nikkas old for not liking the new shyt... when you the one asking the question of why people don't like the new shyt

i'll listen to battles every once in a while... but the why doesn't change, even if it doesn't apply to me

most people want to hear music... not spoken word... most these dudes SUCK on beats, which is why they can be #1-2-3 in battling and can't sell their shytty music to anyone, including battle rap fans.. of course you can "rap" when you have no structure and just going in for 5 mins straight

another thing.... most people want to hear lyrics about something... nobody trying to hear some 5'5 nikka who never shot a damn bb gun, rap for 15 minutes about all the killing and murder he about do... acting it out with invisible guns and fake punches and shyt... shyt ain't a fukking play.. hollering out "gun barsssssssssssssss" after ever 4 lines like we believe any of this shyt

and last... 95% of these nikkas suck... and before you leap out there... you know damn well the prime battlers ain't out there no more.. even when it was no beat, nikkas was spazzing on dvds back in the day.. battles was 2 top tier nikkas, going all in..

now we getting goofy ass 2 vs 2 battles... 8 leagues full of trash nikkas... 1 good half round out of 6.. crowd don't even be in it... or they overly gassing up weak bars cause the dude is local

that shyt ain't transcending nothing.. cause i can select any random battle and tell you exactly what it's about to be.. that's why that lux verse went how far it went... cause it was actually a different subject.. he has a different style... his cadence was different

everything the same now...

"i said... i said..... look.... i said...... i got guns big enough to..........................." and i already get bored

no one knows these battle rappers it is not interesting there is no bond so it would be hard to care or be impressed about the gibberish coming out of the their mouths.

i know battle was way big back, back in the day when dudes like (em,rhymefest,ja,etc) used to do it to test/boost skills but today 2016 skills are trash or easy and def there is no new dope rapper. as for the battles i like battles where i know who is spitting and who he is spitting about.

like the classic rap battles, when kool moe dee got called out for his star trek attire :russ:

I'm a long ways from it. I grew up religiously watchin Murda Mook vs. P-80, Jae Millz vs Mook, them loaded lux joints and it seems like every new nikka is following the mook/lux template, which is dope when it's done right but there's too many nikkas on that wave and they felt like cheap imitations so over time I lost the urge to check it out. It's been so long that i'm out of touch. I'll check it out if there's a compelling reason, like Lux vs Calicoe, or the Joint that was on facebook where ol boy hit that whiteboy with a history lesson... i think that was last year or so
