Why hasnt Becky Hammon gotten hired as a NBA HC ?

Teams hire worse candidates in real time.

and something everyone about head coaches: they're hired to be fired. If you're in rare air, you get to decide when you walk away. If you're lucky, you get fired, but they tell you it's a mutual parting. Most times, you get the boot.

Either Becky or Cheryl Reeve (Lynx coach) will get that call. I think upon hiring Becky, her associate HC gotta be critical.

I wonder if another female as associate HC would be better as to not potentially undermine her as HC...or perhaps a really old coach who is essentially a consultant and there part time

The latter. Think good retired player who's still working his way up who has credibility with players who have seen him, but isn't really a threat to take the job himself.

an old head I guess could work but that almost feels like hiring a babysitter.
