Why have albums stopped leaking?

It seems like within the last year or so, albums have stopped leaking a week or so in advance like they usually do. It might have something to do with how they changed the usual album release day from Tuesday to Friday but I don't know

Edit: Yes, some albums do earlier digital release dates than physicals, but most have the same.

That's not how albums leaked. It usually goes down when retailers get the CD shipments, and a worker or someone gets their hands on a copy then rips it and uploads it.

idk then. i honestly don't even pay attention to release dates like i did in the mid 2000s. maybe since albums have digital releases before physical the trend just died for leaking the physical? maybe they have better ways of tracking people who leak it now. idk breh.

I pay more than close attention. I been doin this shyt since and I download shyt everyday. Like I said, step your sources up. You goin to a website to download your "leaks"? I already stated the fact that they often release digital a week before physical.
