You realize they were already born and had NO parents (a mother OR father) to begin with, right? They were parentless children before she adopted them. Would you have preferred they stay in the system like so many of the other black children who will remain unadopted by anyone? I guess being parentless is better than being raised by a single mother who, according to research as it relates to single mothers of her background (education and SES), has the same likelihood of raising children as productive as those raised in two parent homes (in terms of educational attainment and ses).

Well guess what? Before she adopted these children they had a ZERO (0) parent household. Having a parents PERIOD around is important. You should need a study to tell that either, but it seems to escape you.
