Why in the black community we sometimes struggle with having healthy conversations about obesity?

Obesity can cause numerous of health complications such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, sleep apnea (breathing randomly stops throughout the night, which can lead to death), fatty liver, osteoarthritis, kidney disease, etc.

These are serious health concerns that should be taken seriously and never avoided, if you care about yourself you'd take heed to these conversations instead of catching an attitude (which is an indicator of denial) and hiding behind a smile while holding a spoon.

If you're happy and satisfied with the possibilities of gaining health conditions from obesity with no care whatsoever, then something is mentally wrong with you, your brain isn't clicking right and you should talk to somebody.

I’m pretty sure that the black community doesn’t “hate” to talk about health.

I think you’re are confusing the fact that the community suffers from health problems and thinking “talk” is all that solves a problem or was the issue to begin with...
Com'on bruh don't start the twisting shyt to get off the real context of the thread. Talking brings awareness and can help people who struggle with seeking healthcare. That's why talk and have conversations, it brings courage and mental strength.

I think if you can’t articulate the issue properly, chances are you won’t get to the crux of the issue.

like, saying blacks don’t talk about it doesn’t get to the heart of the issue. What is the issue is there isn’t enough information disseminated between blacks about certain healthcare, also things like access to health care, practical care in general, diets and nutrition.

to say we don’t like to talk or hate talking, no that’s not it...

America itself suffers from health problems. This whole damn country is obese and dying from food addictions.

Yeah but my focus is on black people staying on top of their health. Stop making this about everybody to avoid the elephant in the room, we need to have these conversations for our own sake. That's if you care, see you have to care about yourself and those around you to want these conversations happening, otherwise you're telling me that you don't care about yourself and whatever happens just happens.

That's not good, man.

Okay bruh, I know the game you're playing here and if you don't want to talk about it, just exit the thread and do what you do and have a nice day.

That's why we have conversations to share information, all it takes is Google if you don't wanna talk with people.

It’s all I hear tbh. Black people need to do this, black people need to do that. How about you let black people be happy, make the choices they want individually without lumping us all together

we have a very flawed healthcare system too. Just saying.
It’s just not the way to help people, or not the conversation style and approach we need to take.

it’s like how people here think flooding people with bad news will somehow empower people to change. No, you’re just spreading negativity and breeding hopelessness over time...

Soo in other words if you if you gain heart disease from obesity your completely fine with that? You don't care about yourself, bruh. Everything you said is what I said in the OP, mentally you're hiding behind fake happiness to excuse yourself from improving your health. Maybe cause you don't want too or you can't or you just don't care.
