Why is After Earth getting so much hate?

I will show this film to my son as an example of Black Excellence still. Way before i show him some cac saving the universe.

It shouldn't be hated but it was just aight. The fake/inconsistent accents gave me a chuckle, and there were literally 3 named characters in the credits. It should have been advertised more to the kids and teens imo.

Will is one of the highest grossing actors of all time and his son Jaden has been in movies that were critically and commercially successful.
They make one movie that people don't fukk with and it's racism?

I was the one of the most vocal After Earth haters on The Arcadium. Before it even came out.
My nephew begged me to bring him to go see it this week. I went. It was just as bad as I expected. The story was shyt. There are no surprises after the first 15 minutes. We already know how everything is going to play out. Will Smith plays a dull boring person in a sci-fi movie. No personality. His son is an EMO 99% of the movie.
What a boring shyt fest.

the questin is it worth 11% on rotten tomatoes...I think there's salvageable part of the film and is no where near the 11%.
