The thing is, the anti establishment is full of shyt. Think of the narrative in Texas, then drive west of from Fort Worth. There are hundreds of mile of solar and wind farms. These were investments of people like T-Boone Pickens. They don't build transmission lines until they take some heat, then they act like they made some great idea to supplement, when they know its not supplemental. Mental Illness. Its power, not a political talking point.
American greed , solar energy can spike the voltage in an area & produce high voltage on the line if there are too many in an area . Wind turbines usually go back to a substation where they can regulate the voltage on the line . The utilities do not like giving credits to anyone , they want you to pay them . The best solution is to buy a solar system with a hefty battery backup & disconnect from the grid . You'll still be charged a delivery fee , a maintenance fee & all the other bs fees they have on your bill . You can hook back up to the grid on rainy days . The tariffs will make it expensive to buy a system & everything will be more expensive regardless because you're in the United States where labor costs are high . American greed is undefeated
