why is being a bandwagon fan frowned upon?

Da city where the skinny nikkas die
Yep.

Im from Illinois. Im a Cavs fan. I was pissed that Lebron left, but was like fukk it, we got enough to make the playoffs w/o him. Didnt work out, but I STILL ride for the squad.

I coulda easily became a Heat fan or rode with my home state team in the Bulls, but nah, I dont operate like that.
ok. now im completely confused as to what your point is. this post doesn't seem to match the og post

I don't think there is anything dumber than a person cheering for a team that is a perennial loser or average just because you grew up with them or its the team in your hometown. The owners give two shats about winning if you are spending money.

i really dont have an issue with it, its just odd watching them talk shyt like they been there the whole time.

they dont even know how gratifying it is to stick with a team and follow them for years and finally hit that title. the journey is the best part most times. its sort of what sports is all about to me, i dont really give two fukks when my teams aint involved.

Im a hometown guy wizards/skins/nats..
But I rarely show bias cause I'm a fan of the game first and foremost..I give credit where its due..

The thing about bandwagoners is that they tend to show the worst type of bias and give a bad name to the fans of the team they hop on....

oh, word, nothing dumber? :dafukk:

i see this all the time, do people really think this largely true?

I stay near Detroit, and Cleveland is not too far, and both of those organizations have been ass yet would sell out regularly. Its dumb to cheer for a loser, imagine paying for season tickets for a team that regularly is below .500, would you ever in life knowingly pay for a faulty product?? yet when it comes to sports, it happens all the time. The bottom line of any organization is to make money, that has never changed and never will, if they can win in the process fine but its always about money, its a business.

Do you know what a FAIRWEATHER fan is "eggman"?:really:

I love my city and state. A sports franchise, owned by a millionaire who can move THEIR team at any team, is not loyal to the area.

Hell, The Browns were moved in 1994 and The Cavs were talking about relocating the year before they drafted LeBron.

I root for the organizations.....not for the cities, so I dont have to deal with that bullshyt:manny:

like thats what your lil fakkit ass was thinking in the 4th grade when you picked a superstar squad instead of the shytty home team.. where was your father?

Im a Knicks fan but Im also a basketball fan so yea i fukks with other teams but i wouldnt root for them against my Knicks.

Ive been meaning to make this thread though...

Where do all these rules come from in sports?

You have to be a loyal fan
You cant root for other teams
You can only root for one city

Sounds to me like a bunch of fakkits that are trying to control how another man thinks. Its really some bullshyt how much people especially on here hate, the majority of u aren't really gay but your still fakkits in my book.

U fellas can do what u want, root for whoever u wanna root for. There aint no damn rules to being a fan. This fakkitry and misconception needs to end.

People spend too much time bytching about sports instead of focusing on their own lives.

If gucci was your favorite brand and their main designer left to design for Louis Vuitton, wouldnt you naturally gravitate towards where the person responsible for your favorite brand ended up at????:why:

And let's say that Gucci replaced him with designers who worked for Bugler Boy Jeans. Yall think nikkaz gon be like "man, the name is still Gucci. I got faith that them Bugler Boy nikkaz can keep the design where it has been in the past!"

:mindblown:

Im wrong for picking a good team to like as a 4th grader and still following them almost 20 years later :lupe:

If you weren't around during DaStruggah, you have no business poppin' the proverbial bottles wit the squad.

And how the hell is fandom predicated on where you live or where you're from. Born and raised in Carolina, been Lakeset since I was 7 (I still have the my pissy a$$ Laker comforter sets in the attic :heh:)

And if Lawd Kobe ever left the squad, his a$$ would be thrown in a bush (I still would be a secret stan tho :jawalrus:)

When my Mets :wow:, and my Bears finally come up :lawd:, NO NEW N!GGAS :birdman:

What's w/ all these muthafukkas usin' semantics n' shyt to try to make bandwagonin' okay? :heh:
