Nope we are immigrants mostly which means we CHOOSE CANADA. Stop it.

No. American immigration is NOTORIOUSLY difficult. It's a lot easier to be a refugee/immigrant in Canada than it is in the US. A lot of folks ran up to Canada because it's a lot just to claim asylum status and then get your citizenship like three years later than come to America and try the same shyt. Them nikkas ICE throw people in detention camps with the quickness when they catch them without papers. Trust me, I have fam from Eritrea trying to get asylum waiting to be granted. It's very hard. They've made the system even more difficult here. And yes, people covet American citizenship. It's hard to get a fukkin green card. You wonder why people get married to US citizens? Or get it through a close relative?

Just stop it. You're even using terms like "y'all" and "homie", black American slang terms. :what:

It's not a bad thing. I just think Americans hate when Canadians try to speak on American issues or imitate Americans.

Canada was hands down the most boring and wackest place I'd ever lived, sorry.

If I had a family and was living that Cosby life maybe, but as a young buck that shyt was awful. Toronto is all they have in that big ass piece of land, that speaks volume.
you clearly need to get out more.
Cuz Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto are live as fukk. You must not have travelled to too many world class cities. Cuz most american cities ain't even touching those three at all.

"Ya'll" isn't strictly an American slang term. Most black folks in Canada are of Caribbean heritage and "ya'll" is used everywhere in the Islands. My family is from Barbados and we say "ya'll" all the time.

Fair point, but Kunta isn't Caribbean. He's African. And, most of the slang y'all use is American slang. That says enough.

Wunnuh is more popular in Barbados but I do hear "ya'll" whenever I go down there, I've also heard old Grenadian and Vincentian people say it too. I had a Bajan math teacher in 8th grade and he would say "ya'll ain't got nuh manners" all the time when he scolding misbehaving kids.

did you go to school in Barbados? a lot of Caribbean people come here and mask their accents and adopt common American speech, especially those from the "small islands"
