Why is Ebro one of the hosts of Hot 97's morning show now?

Put Angie on in the morning then. Is the afternoon drive slot that serious anymore on FM radio? Honest question, since i don't know much about the business like that....but Angie is the best interviewer & is cool with everybody. Why not pony up to get her on in the mornings then. I dunno.

I honestly don't religiously listen to either station anymore certainly not the morning shows unless I know something is happening but in my opinion it is probably the Tone thats been set since Star touched down in the morning and the shows that followed after. Its pretty much been a shock jock type of vibe or atleast for the successful shows in the morning and Angie aint in that zone or atleast she wasnt when I use to listen. She was more of like you said everyones friend but shes not going to be giving the gossip or saying shocking things the way people have gotten use to in the mornings. Plus not to many people I would imagine would want to get up that early for work if its there choice and she has kids

angie isn't a morning personality ... a morning personality has to be a TURNT up type of person .. a "I DONT GIVE A FUKK" person .. angie is more laid back .. lunch time / professional lets have a chat type of person. She dont even entertain too much beef of fukkery no more ... last time she did was with jay vs nas

yea, that's pretty much in line with what @coose said & it makes sense...the precedent that Star/Miss Jones set back 13 years ago. And Angie is definitely comfortable right now, i'm sure...still doing well in the ratings in her slot/market effortlessly like Mike Francesa.

What's crazy about this is that neither station runs the morning market overall. Most people don't care about either station. Urban radio don't matter in the grand scheme of things so they are fighting over a half a slice of pizza.

That half slice of pizza (advertising money) is pretty important considering that's their only source of revenue.

Star was beating Howard stern at one point in ratings. Also I doubt star would swallow his pride and go back to hot 97. Which is fine, I still follow his YouTube channel every now and then

Star was beating Stern in NY in overall ratings??? This is the first time I'm hearing this, do you have a source (and if it's Star saying it, then know radio people lie about ratings all the time).

Stern ran NY from the time he went to K-Rock to the time he left for Sirius, so I find this VERY hard to believe, unless you mean he beat Stern in some specific demo (like 18-34 blacks or something), which even then seems unlikely.
