TI wasn’t really making trap music. He was a commercial artist from Atlanta. He had trap songs but I wouldn’t consider him a pioneer of trap at all. Trap Muzik the album actually has very little in common with the trap music sub genre.

Gucci and Jeezy basically birthed trap music as a genre, together, at the same time in the mid-2000s. Zaytoven and Shawty Redd established the trap production style via Gucci and Jeezy’s music from 2005-2009.



This video alone birthed more trap rappers, songs, and videos by itself than anything TI ever made and this was before 2009
