What trap music is known as today worldwide was started by Gucci and Jeezy in the mid-2000s.
As I stated earlier, Jeezy followed Tips blueprint. He rapped over similar soundscapes on TM101/TM 102 as T.I did on Trap Muzik (yall are also conveniently ignoring THIS). And it wouldn't any trap today with Im Serious and Trap Muzik.

You from the south?

to anybody thats not from the south, i understand the sentiment. But if you from the south, then its a stupid statement

I'm pretty much chalking it up to him not being from the South. I know here in Dallas we been fukking with Gucci since about the same time as Jeezy since 'So Icey' then Traphouse came out about the same time as TM101 and the Trap or Die mixtape did. He didn't have the same type of mainstream success at first Jeezy had(people forget Jeezy had a Jay-Z cosign which meant a lot back then), but to say he had no influence or wasn't a factor is just rewriting history.

And
So this is one of those threads where the OP has his mind made up with his opinion, ask for your opinion, you give it, and if it differs from his, he’ll disagree no matter what :russ:
And YOU nikkas will come in here, make vague/open ended statements or argue against something I never said in the first place; or just flat out not having insight to offer because yall cant ascertain what did for trap in the early/mid 2000s yall damn selves.

Name the 5 biggest trap artists of all time and you’ll see more traces of Gucci than TI in all 5

You’re saying that TI started trap music and Gucci wasn’t a factor until 2009.

How when I just posted a 2007 Gucci video with 50 million views that influenced more trap artists than TI?

How could TI start a genre when no artists in that genre sound anything like him? I can’t name one rapper I ever heard in my life who sounds like TI

nikka you are slow. You talking like he got them 50 million views the moment he dropped the video. And the artist he inspired was AFTER the time period in question.

We answered the question, just because you hard headed and don't like the answer given doesn't mean we didn't answer. Every city in the South from Texas to Florida was fukking with Gucci Mane La Flare bruh. We from different regions, we never gonna see eye to eye on this because you not from here. Where we from Gucci was ALWAYS a factor.
