Champions league
You had an argument with a complete boob.
Goal has remained the same size.
Equipment got bigger, but if you look at all his goals, the bigger equipment would not have made a difference. He was playing goalies who weren't playing the butterfly style so he essentially beat them top shelf with accuracy.
Ovechkin is a one-way player. He's good at scoring, and dangerous on the breakaway, but he's not as much a playmaker as Gretkzy.
Crosby is talented and there's no doubt about that and is responsible for making the Penguins a threat in the Eastern Conference. He's not as one-way as Ovechkin, but he has a back-up in Evgeni Malkin so the team has a two-way threat. The Capitals don't have a second all star.

its really hard to compare
goalies yeah maybe were worse but the game was much more physical

gretzky was 6 foot 160lbs ,
but folks also act like gretzky wasn't playing also in the trap and clutch and grab era and he was still a point per game player. A old ass arthritis 35 year old gretzky had 97 points in 96/97

Ali maybe but i dont think you can say for MJ. There is a lot of old heads who think Kareem or Bill Russell is the best

for hockey it seems like its Wayne regardless of what generation you're from.

There is no consensus in boxing either, for Ali fans there are Joe Louis fans

I have a question about this for baseball heads. I just saw Trout is batting .290. Not bad average by any stretch of the imagination but back when I was really into baseball the best players were batting, .309, .320, etc.

Is the standard lower now cuz PEDs are out the game?
harder throwing pitchers, better relievers leading to more strikeouts and also the defense shift kills lefties.

Jordan revolutionized the game. Before him, it was a big man's game. Offenses never flowed through a shooting guard - centers and forwards were the focal points. Shooting guards were space fillers. Before Jordan, no shooting guard ever led the league in scoring. He did it a record 10 times in 11 years he qualified for the scoring title as a bull.. Talk about untouchable records: that is untouchable. Add in that he was injured his second season and retired for that year and a half, and he probably has 13 scoring titles.

He opened the door for shooting guards and changed the way teams looked at them. He's the reason why there was an influx of SG talent in the late 90s to now. He dominated the game so much more than anyone else before him and from a position that was never valued that he had the league thinking it was possible to build a team around a SG.

Kobe, A.I., Ray, Wade, Harden...all of their opportunities to lead teams wouldn't be possible without Jordan's dominance.

Everyone knows that Michael Jordan is the GOAT basketball player.
We here in New York City might hate MJ, but we accept that hes the GOAT.
Just is what it is.

Do nikkas in canada really watch hockey?:russ:

Like if I went to a barbershop in Toronto or Montreal would people be in there arguing about the Leafs goalie situation or if McDavid has the potential to be the GOAT:ohhh:

hockey my nikka :dead:
nikka I even played hockey. But as I got older I started losing interest and watch more soccer or ball.

I might watch if leafs go far or random playoff game in Stanley cup finals that’s about it.

If you talking about black barbershop than no they usually talk about ball no hockey lol

That’s the thing we’re forced to watch hockey highlights on sports channels.Sports center comes on they show nhl highlights first which is so annoying
