I tried to tell nikkas...I seen Hollywood tryna give itself they yearly pat on the back about all the "change" and strides Hollywood has made
....They been pickin that black "it" girl on a yearly basis for a while now....gas they azz up and tell her how talented and beautiful she is and then next thing you know surprise surprise they not casting her as leads in movies,then shes not being cast in movies at all,then she end up wit a small role on some tv show
...I saw the fake love was the same shyt they gave to Jennifer Hudson,them chicks from The Help,Precious etc....at the end of the day it makes white people feel good to momentarily say "See,its a new era,racism and bias are dead
" but then its back to business as usual
I believe I seen some articles where Lupita was buying into her own hype too,downplaying American black actresses on some "I love the fact a natural looking black women like me is getting all this attention,its a inspiration to black girls to show them Hollywood has changed".....didn't like the fact in some articles it seemed like she was throwing American black actresses under the bus like they was crazy for feelin outcasted in hollywood imo.

Whenever black people talk about racism, race, discrimination, white privilege, etc...we're just seen as "complainers" who "make excuses" and need to "get over it".
Whenever white people do this...they're seen as "enlightened", "progressive", and any other played out buzzword white people love to throw at each other to give themselves a pat on the back for not being "like the others" in the eyes of the minorities whose plight they use to their advantage.

Minorities are severely marginalized in Hollywood in general...which is why I don't fukk with movies or TV really.
All the years of watching and waiting for things to change only for them to stay the same is one of the cruelest jokes in the entertainment industry.
The sooner you realize how utterly self-absorbed and narcisstic the hollywood machine is as a reflection of white society...the better.
We need to focus on creating and proliferating our own industries instead of trying to "break through" theirs.
Sadly though it needs to start somewhere, cause media representation is important...especially for the younger generations.

She really does have a pretty face, I can't decide why exactly I find her unattractive. Not sure if its the shorter hair or lack of ass/titties (curves in general)
It's okay to find someone attractive without finding them sexually physically attractive.At least you are not flat out refusing, some people just have a set view on how beauty has been portrayed to look like and can allow themselves to admit that she is beautiful.
the oscars were in march. it's a little early to be saying she isn't being offered roles "worthy" of her
