Why is it if u have different mom but same dad u only half siblings

My older brother has a different mom than me, big sis and lil bro, but we never called him our half brother.

Most people do when we being technical. I mostly say I have 4 brothers unless people ask me why my 2 younger brehs are light skin then I say cause we got different moms. So they technically half brehs.

I get that but I still have never heard that referenced by anyone, they'll just say on my pops side or moms side but never half

No one really refers to their half-siblings as such, but it should be understood that if you don't share the same set of parents, you're not full siblings.

Anyone debating this is a dumbass and this is really a pretty bad thread.

Mine too. My siblings from my mom I came up with. My siblings from my dad I did not. I didn't even meet them till I was a teenager and they were grown.

Same here. My daddy had 9 kids including me. I didn't know but two of the 9 and one I didn't meet until I was in my early 30's.

I grew up in the house with my brother and sister and even though their daddy is my step dad he treats me as if I were one of his biological children.
