Why is it if u have different mom but same dad u only half siblings

Yea in the technical sense they're paternal and maternal half, but sans all the terms, my brothers on both sides are just my brothers, never called em anything different.

I think it depends on your personality and how you were raised. I only have one full sibling from my mom. The rest to me are my half brothers/sisters - paternal.

Its just different if someone comes out the same cooch as you.

My mom never had kids with a different man but i think id have viewed that kid as a full sibling or at least never ever voiced that they are my half sibling.

I have half siblings but I consider them siblings. Other people like to point out we are only half as if to separate us.

While I understand the correct term is half siblings, imo what difference does it make, especially to strangers

but I really think people obsess over the half singling part because of how my brother looks.

Mine too. My siblings from my mom I came up with. My siblings from my dad I did not. I didn't even meet them till I was a teenager and they were grown.
