why is it so hard to get a minimum wage job?

Growing up id always been told "do good in school or you will end up at mcdonalds for the rest of your life". Turns out theres 100 other nikkas applying for the same one mcdonalds opening.

I only apply for the minimum wage jobs because of my lack of education and criminal record. Ive been rejected from every minimum wage job you can think of. Like really at this point id happily clean toilets for some money. Turns out im not "good enough" to clean toilets.

You wonder why nikkas out here robbing when you cant get employed at the lowest level of jobs available. This is how they break you. They make you feel worthless and hungry until you are pushed to the point of commiting crimes to eat.

I would find every educator that lied to you, that took quality time away from your friends and hobbies as a kid, and the ones that denied time with your family and MERK them for lying to you. At least do that before robbing banks and robbing other broke people.

become a self employed sales rep and start selling soap and shyt on the streets, start husslin. Buy your self a suit and start knocking doors..When i didnt have a job i just preordered some protien powder/Diet kits and started selling shyt to people on the streets. Theres an obesity problem, use it to your advantage. Shieet this could be a great education for u.Instead of compainin, be a man and solve your problem by yourself. Youll feel good about yourself afterwards that you were able to pick yourself up and do something

Id like to be a photogropher. Seems like a pretty good good gig. How does one get into that? Is the camera on my Ipod touch good enough to start off with? I cant afford to buy a proper camera right now.

Use your time in unemployment to learn a trade or skill of interest that you can make long term money with. Google tutorials and research success stories of people in that field.

How long can this system last? Got dudes with degrees taking minimum wage jobs cus their resume looks better and they cant find work in their own shytty sector. They better start building some more prisons because from what Ive seen nothing is getting better. I read a thread on here about unemployment being the lowest its been in years or something. Well thats not the picture im seeing. And im sure the people who came up with them stats arent staying where im at and seeing this shyt every day.

im getting into it myself. Obviously telling people you're coming with your ipod touch wont really get you a gig but you do need to know how to frame and properly edit pictures, lighting, etc before blowing money on a proper camera, so yeah any camera really is good starting point. Also at just basic weddings, birthdays, local events people dont really know or care what kind of camera you have they just want it to look good. It's nikkas with $7000 cameras who dont know how to take or edit a picture and people with film and entry level camera who can do much better. Limitations just grow with the camera as you become more experienced. Look into mirrorless cameras too.

Look on craigslist for gigs, put out your own ads, or even just try to sell your own pictures locally. Idk where you live but here there's an arts festival every friday and it's packed with hipsters buying shyt.

Unemployment stats are misleading, they can make them say whatever they want, but people out in the field pounding the pavement know the deal.

My best friend is about to graduate with a marketing degree and he's barely gotten a few unpaid internships for 2 years. Dude is filling out long ass redundant applications from sun up to sun down and getting 0 call backs

Reminds me of myself a year ago, I was dead broke and couldn't find a job for shyt I took a fast food job and worked minimum wage for about a year but kept grinding and now I got a job making about 11 to 12 dollars an hour while I go to school Anything is possible breh, just keep at it
