Any black person knows black people listen to a range of music because if you were playing 2k, Madden, Tony Hawk, etc. or consuming so many other forms of media, you were subjected to a wealth of genres. My introduction to music outside of rap/r&b was most likely Madden or Tony Hawk, from there, an interest in other genres took off.
