I like older rock and metal, but I got zero knowledge about new rock/metal...seems like the genres are dead/irrelevant. I listen to alternative shyt. I'm a Bjork stan. I listen to jazz more than rap.


Read as much as you can, and listen to as much diverse music as you can. It'll expand your mind, taste, vocabulary, everything.

Back in the 80s and 90 if the music was dope it was dope but I think once the gangsta era then there began to he more definitive lines between what was seen as acceptable within Black culture.
