I'm not comparing the two different times in his career... that's the problem. Y'ALL are doin' that. The way y'all talkin', because he did something 9 years ago, he should still be doin' the same exact shyt today. I'm not comparing those times at all, because the nikka's been changing musically every other year. Unlike them nikkas who make the same album 5 times over, he's done different shyt every time. You talkin' about you would rather hear another LR than another MDBTF... but the thing is, he's probably not gonna make another one of either. If you know his music like you say you do, you shoulda prob. figured out by now that he never stays on one lane for too long.

Like I said, if "fans" get mad at an artist for changing musically, it's their fault. That artist never told y'all he/she was gonna always do that style from their first album, or just work with who they worked with in the beginning. Y'all decided that on your own, and got disappointed when it didn't happen.

Idk why your acting like you didn't read what I wrote.

"Nobody wants Kanye to do another CD or LR. I don't have a problem with him reinventing himself. I totally bump and cosign Graduation even though a lot of people don't."

Bro, I understand that Ye can come from any angle with his next project, but to say he wasn't "carrying the torch" is unfair. Dude was working with Dilated Peoples, Jay, Mos, Talib, Consequence, the game, Common, Nas, Dipset, etc!!!! I bet Kanye himself would take that as disrespect.

Mind you he didn't do this accidentally, he was creating this image for himself whether you believe it or not. I don't even know who was he working with before he caught a buzz, but Kanye definitely KNOWS whats hip hop and whats not. Don't try to give him a pass by saying "he never said he was strictly hip hop!", actions speak louder than words.

I'm done with this back and forth thing, if your willing to admit as a fan that Ye's been slacking hard the last few years then get back to me. I really am a fan of dudes music, but lets be realistic brehs :takedat:

Here's the thing... I know who he was workin' with... but I also recall him working with people OUTSIDE of that realm too, AT THE SAME TIME. Even when you say he was workin' with Dipset... they're a lot closer to the Rick Ross/Lil' Wayne/2Chainz side of things than the Common/Talib/Mos camp. Content and stylewise, Dips were about the closest thing to a Down South group from NY you could get. And all the same, just like he was workin' with Consequence, he was workin' with Paul Wall. That's what I'm sayin' about Kanye... he's kinda always run the gamut when it came to the artists he did songs with. It was never just him devoting himself to one section of the rap game. That GOOD Friday shyt proved that. One week it could be some shyt with Common, next week it's some shyt with Rick Ross, Jay and Nicki. And sometimes, it's a song with Raekwon and Swizz Beatz for the hell of it. He's one of the only artists that are in the middle of ALL that shyt at once. And you can go all the way back to the first album for evidence of that. He still does the shyt to this day... who else raps on trap beats AND does a track with the RZA on the same album?

Kanye went from the Work Out plan to Murder To Excellence. Dumbass

:beli:

The Work Out Plan at least sounded natural. :yeshrug:

I guess I'm the only person on the planet that liked 808s. It was something he needed to do and I can appreciate that. Unfortunately, it also lead to him unleashing his more "experimental" side and instead of "A Good Ass Job," we got MBDTF. I didn't like one track off that album. Wait hold up, I lied, Power.

how do you mean? :birdman:

Radiohead recreates themselves every single album and none of them sound alike. On one album they are extremely experimental on the next they are taking it back to the roots, then on another they are blending elements of a bunch of different styles. They have a huge fanbase, but there are always stans for every album they have and people always want them to revisit the sound they had on a previous album. If that makes sense:ld:

I liked 808s too. I dont think there is a bad song on the album.

MBDTF is a good album I just didnt see the point of it coming of the heels of 808s

He hasn't genuinely been the same since Graduation and his new shyt is soulless. Son went from being insecure to just straight up flossy like he should be on Ca$hmoney with Birdman.

Hip hop wouldn't let my nikka Nas live during The Firm, I'am, Nastra period.

nikkas are literally giving Kanye a pass with his lazy bars. (HE DOESNT EVEN PRODUCE HIS shyt ANYMORE)

Wrong. hiphop heads started hating on Nas when "it was written" came out.

Cause this is the type of thread you would make... your dislike of an artist translating to some off-base opinion presented as fact. shyt is right up your alley. Let's not act like you ain't got a 30-somethin' page thread going right now based off the same premise.

And for the record, if I was ever on your dikk for any reason, I'd commit suicide because I will have truly reached the lowest point in my life. Jockin' message board trolls is about as low as it gets.

i take it that you off'd yourself already because you are indeed on my d*ck. i shouldnt be on your mind. you certainly arent on mines.

and i dont make threads like the one your whining about, based off opinions. youve already conceeded to that in the thread about a week or 2 ago, and you probably didnt realize it.

and this thread is on point, so i really dont mind my name being associated with it. you dont understand threads like these because youre a poo-putt @$$ dude.

and stop misrepresenting baltimore. they dont move like you out there.
