But yeah, kinda like the rock star clothing that got popular in the hood post 2005. Problem is that "black" music stagnated and never evolved post 2003. Either get Euro-influenced, or just die off. Kind of like when Timbo and Justin changed R & B into a techno genre, Kanye wanted to push himself cause he didn't want to limit himself in one formula.
Totally agree. I would say for as long as there has been pop music, black people have made/invented the coolest types of music.
Black people set the pace. Rock, jazz, blues, hip-hop we kept coming up with tht new fly shyt and it worked on a mainstream level a lot of the time.
Now Europeans are setting the pace. Imo black people need to get back in touch with our soul. Great singers, great dancers & our ill feel for beats. It all started with Diana Ross....
