I knew a dude, a couple yrs older than me (i'm 22, he was like 24), who got laid off and was applying to diff places, one of those places he applied to this arab owned gas station, and seemed down when he got turned down, i told him straight up dude they only hire other arabs, just like in a lot of other places they try their best to only hire ppl of their own race/ethnicity, some will hire blacks of course but only if they feel like it...when u own your own business u can control who u want to put on and who u want to keep out, and these places prefer to keep the money in family or in the same race at least. Everyone else has been doing this for years but it's like black ppl still have not understood the concept. To us, it seems wrong of course because it is excluding a lot of us from certain jobs, or at the very least makes it much more difficult, but they are doing what WE should be doing. They work together, extract wealth via businesses, keep the money in house, and continue to build with each other. They aren't trying to put u on, they MIGHT, but it's definitely not their priority, their priority is to take your money and anyone else's they can, by selling you goods, and employ their own people so that they can make money as well, and continue on from generation to generation. They will pass down their business to their kids or other relatives
If we had our own businesses, we could employ other black ppl, basically hire who we want the same way whites, asians etc do to us. But we don't have them, and tbh when i have talked to other american black ppl about entrepreneurship (in settings where it was appropriate) they tend to either be passive if not dismissive, so expect for things to stay the same unless there is some massive, collective change of heart . Some ppl on here will probably say "no one can afford it", but if enough black ppl put their money together, and start small, it could be done. We don't work together, there's an individualistic, "every man for himself" mentality. So what i'm saying will sound outlandish even though it's not. Black ppl are huge consumers, we have like what 1.1 trillion in spending power, plenty of us will go cop the new Jordan's and everything else every month, imagine if a bunch of us planned and put our money together to start businesses, i know firsthand that it's not easy to start a business but a big problem is a lot of people dont even bother to try. Its one thing to try and to fail, because at least u tried (and hopefully wont give up), but to collectively not even try at all is worse IMO. If enough ppl actually put their money together instead of splurging it on dumb shyt, it would be a start. The problem is if u talk to other black men about saving and putting your money together, most aren't willing to do it. Not all, because one of my business partners is a black man, but a huge percent. Jason Black didn't lie about this. I've seen dudes complain about working shytty wages for "the man", but if u bring up the idea of putting their money up to start their own business they quickly shy away from it, these are the same dudes who find money to club every weekend, to cop the new releases monthly, to pop bottles and smoke regularly, etc but will complain about their position in society and being disenfranchised. Other races do not give a fukk, as long as u have to rely on them for employment u will always be last priority, if you're even considered. More black ppl will have to start wanting to be bosses and trying to start our own shyt, if not then this is going to stay the same.
