Why is nepotism frowned upon in the Black community?

I don't know if black folks aren't practicing nepotism. I think it's (as mentioned before) more to do with the ability to afford to help out other black folk. My job is a product of nepotism as is my brothers. Both times my mom put us on. I think it all really depends on whether or not you have the ability to put someone on.

Black people are always "hooking each other up." Especially family. Most people don't have the same types or level of hook ups other races have. I have this job now because I knew someone. Matter of fact one of my best friend's Mother was about to be my manager. But I ended up going to another dept.

What I do see sometimes people not doing because they have been screwed over in the past and they are worried about their reputation. Like getting someone a job just to have them not show up or half work.

I have also seen a person pass or try to pass a family business, house, or land to their child. Only to have the child either mess it over, let it fail, think they are too good for it or don't see the value of keeping it and selling it to someone else. Most of the time the person they sale it to isn't black. Sometimes they can't afford to keep it, or keep the business going.

Everyone else realizes this is how you create generational wealth. If you have a business, you pass it down. They don't give that "Well now son, nothings gonna be handed to you, you've got to earn your own way in this world" speech. Even at regular jobs, these other races will snitch on brothas, set them up to be fired, just so they can bring their cousins in, bring their nephews in to take that position. And if a brotha does put his son on, all the the Black folks bytch about it. See it all the time, we hate to see privilege bestowed on our own people....but have no outrage when other folks do it.

These east Indians bought a Tim Horton's by my house and guess who they hired? All east Indians.... nikkas will buy a Tim Horton's and try to make it diverse because their on the mlk ideology. Or they'll start a business and hire non blacks because they feel guilty that they're being 'reverse racist' and the non black person will soak up the game and take it back to his own community

nikkas will fight or even kill each other over dumb shyt daily, yet we do not attempt to compete with other races of men who straight up come into our neighborhoods, set up shop, and extract wealth.

We don't even try to combat this. We say we don't want to work a bullshyt job for another race of men but our actions say we do. And when i say we i don't personally mean myself, but i am speaking collectively. The collective mentality that we have is: as long as you've got a job somewhere working for another race, you're good. That's all, that's the "end goal", working a bullshyt menial job for another race of men forever, and then the same thing for the next generation etc. No building our own businesses, no employing our own people, no extracting wealth from other races.

Real shyt, we're content with relying on others for employment for the rest of our lives (instead of saving our money and working together to build our own shyt), yet we simulatenously complain about how our non black bosses treat us in the workplace. When u rely on others to feed you then u either have to collectively put up with their shyt, or not eat. Then maybe when you're like 60-65 and tired as fukk, u can finally retire and live off a retirement check that is less than what u actually deserve. That's our goal, that's what we slave away and put up with discrimination our entire lives for. Having a little job working for another race and then finally retiring with no business of our own when we're old as fukk and tired.

We're going to need BUSINESSES, and employ our own. If not, we will always rely on other races to eat.

It's great if an individual person has a job but you can't pass your 'good job' down to your offspring, you can pass down a business though. They can't inherit that 'good job' u had, but they can inherit your business and put other black ppl on.

Even when a nikka comes into a lot of money, it often gets tricked away on superficial shyt instead of used towards a business, investments, etc. So it does nothing for the collective

I've sort of accepted it but at the same time i don't understand it. I think it offends some dudes or something but it shouldn't. They think it's better to sugarcoat everything and make it sound pretty than to just be real

We gotta make our own shyt, build it and only bring in our own. Too many nikkas are looking for validation/acceptance from whites. Even cats who have built businesses and shyt seem to somehow always allow whites to get their hands in the pot as well, then wonder why later on whites end up taking that shyt over. Don't matter if you let one white in, they're gonna somehow make room to slide others in and next thing you know they're pushing nikkas out, then they're pushing YOU out
