Because Pimp did the production, provided the soulful vocals and was more outspoken

Another reason for this is that Pimp got sampled A LOT:

Bun would tell you himself that Pimp was the real mastermind behind the group. He'd say that Pimp would give him a concept and a beat to go with and let Bun do his thing. For example, Bun didn't want to do Pocket Full of Stones because he wanted to rap to something more up tempo, but Pimp convinced him to go through with it ... and the rest is history![]()

UGK - YouTube weed weed was suppose to be on supertight..with all the ogs bun n 3-2
i heard it was a double disc originally. i have a really shytty quality rip of "weed weed"Exactly, TI is a clown who should have got shot instead of his bodyguard.

He was the frontman and the mouthpiece for the group while Bun was the lyricist and the laid back one. Bun got bigger and more known when Pimp C was locked up and he held it down for UGK and C by shouting out his name on damn near every guest apperance he was making. Still think these two hadn't reached their peak yet as far as album sales. Because Bun was more known nationally and Pimp C was getting out there with all of his outrageous comments. UnderGround Kingz debuted at number one and i think they were on their way to even more success until Pimp C's untimely demise.
