I really miss Pimp C's music. I still like Bun, but when I bump UGK I don't rap along to his verses and croon his hooks, know what I mean? He was less interesting as far as I'm concerned, but at the same time, UGK wouldn't be UGK without him. But I feel Pimp C was just on another level entirely. We lost a great artist here, brehs. I don't want to evoke the spirits of the legends like a James Brown or a Rick James, because he'd never reach those mainstrean popularity levels, but in terms of artistry and charisma? Chad Butler was one in a million, straight up.

Bun would tell you himself that Pimp was the real mastermind behind the group. He'd say that Pimp would give him a concept and a beat to go with and let Bun do his thing. For example, Bun didn't want to do Pocket Full of Stones because he wanted to rap to something more up tempo, but Pimp convinced him to go through with it ... and the rest is history
n bun will also tell u if it wasnt for the original og memeber of the group...
