Too much black skin shown in the NBA....now gimme my daps.

But really, there have been some good points in this thread. Lack of classic footage, NFL's long marketing history, Probably still some :mjpls:. It does seem like enjoying the NBA is somehow committing to black culture. There has to be less redneck NBA fans than NFL.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Im from another country. YES things outside of the United States matter to ME. I dont care that they dont matter to YOU. Worry about what matters to YOU and i'll worry about what matters to ME.

:dead: @CrimsonTider falling all the way back, he thought you were from the US :russ:

There's a lot of NBA posters on TheColi from outside the US @CrimsonTider, keep asking why it matters when the NFL continues to try and get their product in other markets :mjlol:

Where are most of the NBA teams located?

Where are most of the NFL teams located?

Geography and Demography play significant roles in this

The league was just starting off when cacs could still hoop in the league. Not to mention there were 2 leagues back then and the league had trouble getting games on TV and getting people to games.

And that's the issue. Football has been around. I think basketball may be closing the gap among younger people but it will be a while before those young people become the old people.

Football reaches women better too. Women go to bars for MNF. Women participate in fantasy football and office football pools. Basketball doesn't have anything equivalent.

CTE is the NFL's only threat.

Because the NBA refs plays a major factor on who wins. :camby: More than any other sports by a long shot.

The NBA can sometimes become so unwatchable by how much the refs dictate the game infavor for one team over another team. :scust:
As opposed to all those f*cking flags in a NFL game:what: They just had a 66 yard pass interference penalty in the Loins/Packers game for crying out loud:what:. Don't bring up penalties and refs cause the NFL is the absolute worst when it comes to this. Just stick to the 16 game schedule/every game counts, teamwork, white QB's, and whatnot.. don't cross over into the refs/penalty route cause the NFL is the worst when it comes to this:camby:

This is debatable.. I've known some women that are football fans but I've also met alot that don't know what the f*ck is going on at all during a football game... but they know their basketball.

NBA has had something stupid like only 8 or 9 teams win titles in the last like 30 years.

In the NFL, the goddamn Saints won a Super Bowl in 2010. The Arizona Cardinals were 2 minutes away from winning.

Since like 1999, the Mavs, Spurs, or Lakers have represented the West in the NBA Finals every time except for 3 years. OKC in 2012 and GSW in 2015 and 2016.

NBA has no parity. It's a mundane regular season buildup where the Hawks are always the Hawks and the Grizzlies are always the Grizzlies.

Even in MLB and NHL the lower seeds and small-market non-superstar teams win titles.
Thats the thing in the playoffs of football you can only really write one team in as superbowl bound. In the nba you need a star player and some experience if you want to dethrone a super team

Because it's easier to digest in such a compact package. Violence and Saturday-Sunday has been a football tradition in this country since I was a little kid.

In the NFL this very season they were already talking about Bills-Jets in Week 2 and that the loser is almost certain to miss the playoffs...2 games in.

The NBA suffers from these extremely long seasons that really doesn't mean much of anything until after the all-star break. On top of that, in the NBA if you have LeBron James or some other world type of talent on your team it is almost a guarantee that you will be one of the final 4 teams left. LeBron has made 6 straight NBA Finals...think about that for a second. In the NFL the Quarterback is the most important position, but Brady/Manning and the other elite Quarterbacks have absolutely no shot of ever going to 6 straight Superbowls. The Bills went 4 straight times a long time ago due to a terrible conference, but that will likely NEVER happen again.

You can have the best pitcher or hitter in baseball...doesn't even guarantee you a spot in the playoffs.
You can have the best QB in football and that doesn't guarantee you a spot in the playoffs.
You have a top 2-3 talent in the NBA? Yeah there is a good chance you are going to the playoffs with a damn good shot at going to at least the conference finals.

Basketball is still my favorite sport though. I do think that the NBA is in the best position to ever take over as the #1 sport in this country if the health issues continue to be a strong topic in the mainstream, but that will likely not happen in 20-30 years from now...when most of us on here will either be retired or not care as much.
