He's smart. Rock knows his role and plays it. Because of his looks, he'd have a hard time playing the vulnerable, multi-dimensional characters you see Denzel, Cheadle, Will and Chadwick play.

Honestly think The Rock COULD make better movies but it would start with a physical transformation...and perhaps starring in a supporting role with a really strong actor.

He tried to slim down already but I think when he got on Fast & Furious and they needed that bulky look he never looked back.
