Why is thecoli now trying to push the narrative that Drake fanbase is white?

Drake cannot be in his position without appealing to every single group. He's the biggest rapper in the game and has crossover success. We all know white people tend to buy the product more and Drake is exactly the kind of rapper to appeal to white people. Does not mean they make up the majority of his fanbase, those two are unrelated.

But I see him as a legend in the same way Will Smith is a legend. He is a goofball, a lot of his stuff will not age well, and he has already been outshined by other rappers in this generation in terms of quality. All he really has to stand on is his mainstream success, and in about 10-15 years, will listeners really give him props for that?

Big time. Reiterating what's been echoed in this thread, the Black crowd(everything from upper class blacks to lower class blacks) mess with him because he's for making urban club anthems. But most of the legit crazed Drake Stans seem to be Whites, Asians, and Black girls under 20yrs old.

When I was talking about Will Smith, I was referring more to the work he did later in his career after Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ended and he was a big movie star. Also, the perception that people would have of Smith's career now in retrospect. People these days probably associate him more with "Gettin' Jiggy With It" and the like than anything he did with DJ Jazzy Jeff.

I definitely respect the work he did in the 1980s, I was just making an analogy.

But the bigger issue is that this dude is apparently ok with having people create whole flows and hooks for him, as long as they've been given writing credits. So we can only assume that throughout his catalog, any time we see another person on the writing credits, they're doing about half the work.[/B]

This is extremely, EXTREMELY logical. Substitute any other artist's name in besides Drake and it's still 100% logically applicable.

But the blind stannery calls it hate.

That's the real issue. Dudes on here probably don't even really hate Drake per se.....a lot of them listen to his music on the low, I'm betting. And let's be real... aubrey is rich, traveling the world and living the life, so I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a shyt about anything that is said about him online, AND I'm even more sure that dudes on here KNOW this and don't be denigrating him such that they expect him to actually ever see it.

No...the issue is that people hate HIS FANS.

Meaning, all you dudes on here who blindly stan him. Who come up with the most asinine reasonings for your defenses. Y'all nikkas FORCE cats to root against Drake.

Personally I don't listen to or like Drake, but dude don't bother me at ALL.

Y'ALL nikkas annoying as hell, though.....and you know who you are, it be the same 5-6 stans posting multiple times in every Drake thread.

It is funny, because most of everyone's black friends on FB and Twitter are excited when Drake drops new music.

The key is black women love him. So naturally nikkas fukks with his music too. Besides that, yeah you turn on any hip hop station, go to any "black" club, etc., you will hear a lot of Drake. You can't get away from him in Atlanta, and the city is one of the hip hop hubs.

Not lying. I picked up a girl from Baruch and was downtown for at least 3 hours. Didn't hear him once. Like I said streets =/= Internet
I'm out here everyday...only Meek song getting play is RICO (and you know why)...

3 hours downtown and this constitutes the streets? :mjlol:

Meek getting more play than Drake on any platform is a massive lie :mjlol:
