Why isn't "it too much too soon" for Balor?

$10 a month for an year = $120, that's more than the average fan would pay on PPV's the traditional way

it's called growing the WWE Network, they're telling fans 24/7 to buy it

you're too slow for this, troll

WWE has to placate the USA Network alongside WWE Network. Its great booking to teach your audience that Title changes CAN happen on TV. Roman beating Sheamus on TV was similarly a good move.

So you end the chase on a RAW? :what:

This is some 90's Nitro booking with wasting big matches

But I wouldn't expect you know what makes money
They were gonna do it at SS but decided to hotshot it to Sasha to have another big, fresh moment for the first brand split show.

One of the biggest criticisms for Reigns' push was that it was too much too soon, well how come the same isn't being said for Balor? :jbhmm:

In one night he went over four of the biggest stars on the RAW roster, pinning the US champion and a former multi time world champion, while securing a slot in the main event of the second biggest PPV of the year. Reigns was on the main roster for two years and was a member of the most dominant faction in recent memory, so what's the justification for this Balor super push?

I know fans like who they like and dislike who they dislike but the overt Reigns hate never made much sense. It's especially odd seeing you guys celebrate someone who has the same pitfalls as Reigns (pushed too soon too fast, not a great promo, lacks personality but delivers in the ring).

For the record I like both but I just don't understand the blatant hypocrisy:francis:

Roman Reigns has been wrestling for 5 years, with only 3 of that being in a main company role. Fergal "Finn Balor" Devitt has been wrestling for 16 years, and worked his way up from a young boy to a top star in the second biggest wrestling promotion in the world. THEN he became an NXT mainstay. It's not hypocrisy. There is life outside the WWE, and Balor is at his creative and performative peak. You have to use him now, while he's ripe.

Oh i agree that Roman shouldn't be hated at this point, but this is what happens when you try to force things instead of letting things naturally happen. Had Roman paid some legit dues before his push, the fans would have been behind him. But that's not at all what happened. Sheamus is another guy like that, though I completely loathe him.

Instead of blaming Roman, blame Vince and the other higher ups.

Because he's a white 5'11 sub 200 indy guy. Period. No other reason. This is getting out of hand.

In two years they will be hijacking shows for Zach Sabre. Remember I said this.

He's overrated on the verge of sucking in my eyes. Fukk Finn Fitley. That road warrior needs to blog how he was force down our throat. what was he doing to garner the longest reign a NXt champ?

I really haven't been impressed yet, saw nothing of his indy or Japan work, just saying, WWe stint has been unwatchable. Neville deserves a lot more than Balor does. I rather watch Neville and Uhaa (if given more to do).

but I'm happy he won, because we need surprises. Sasha was sort of a surprise (I had a feeling she'd win), and Ziggler was definitely a surprise. Good tv for two weeks straight. just hope Finn goes straight to midcard after this.

Who knows if he'll even win the new title? I'm pretty sure they'll give it to Rollins at SummerSlam to legitimize it.
