Why isn't Sanders running as an Independent?

registering as a dem gets him more exposure and he can participate in the debates.... i guess

Yeah, I mean I get that.... I guess.

It kind of makes him compromised at the same time.

Especially when he's running a campaign built on fear.

He's stratifying and dividing society along the imaginary lines of class. Very dangerous.

And he's inspiring communist militants like @JahFocus CS to wage class warfare. I'm very concerned about the safety and welfare of job creators.

Sanders is not running as an Independent because he then would not be able to avail himself of the benefits that come from being a part of the two party structure. Plus running as a Dem gives him access to all of the systemic perks that the DNC provides to campaigns.
It does make his constant complaining about the Democratic Primary process a bit hollow though. You really can't whine about a system that you freely chose to enter into as a means of benefiting your campaign.

I agree but this country is a two party country and the way its set up an independent won't be elected President. It just won't happen
