Why isn't Wale bigger/more popular than he is?

Breh I'm pretty sure TT is the one who wrote and made that song hot on his mixtape:ufdup:. Wale was smart enough to put it on the album after seeing how much love it was getting from fans. He even put Rihanna on the official song so that he could attempt to appeal to mainstream white America. I don't really check for jeremih and usher like that but matrimony is a dope song with or without wale:sas2:that's the thing about wale and big sean, they don't really have an identity. Luckily big Sean was able to create hits such as IDFWU and start dating Hollywood elite females so he can reach that sought after demographic. To this day I haven't seen wale linked to one female in the public eye which hurts his appeal in a way to consumers since he is constantly making rnb love music. Don't get me wrong tho I loved ambition and more about nothing:whoa: but his pre-fame go-go days were unique and original a la Nike boots and dig dug joints. But something happened after the attention defecit flop. He wanted that mmg rick ross/fat trel persona to him but we don't believe him as that tough guy no matter how hard he tries.

so in other words you want Wale to be linked to some hollywood thot or instagram hoe just so you can get your chatty patty on... OKAY #check

never knew rap had turned into, ''you cant make r&b music unless youre linked to a female''... foh you $2 bottom hoe

Breh i could care less who he linked too honestly:stopitslime:, i just thought of it at the moment when i was writing that he has been in the game for a minute and has never been linked to any female at all:jbhmm:. I just find it strange since he has made so many rnb crooner songs for the ladies. I actually applaud it for keeping it on the down low but you gotta sell these mainstream consumers a dream and an image that your songs correlate with your personal life. Just my 2 cents:yeshrug:

What You Will Never Be.
But dude came up with Cole :dwillhuh:

You sayin Cole just took dudes fans?

J. Cole is an alternate version of Drake, so...

I'll give Wale his props, he actually had a few songs I liked but the nikka sucks as a person, he's like Chamillionaire...ironic how they was both born in D.C. or at least have D.C. in common...

Seriously, how can nikkas be surprised? The muthafukka did business with SEINFELD...what kind of authentic nikka fukks with him?

He's successful but not mainstream successful and it's due to two reasons mainly. One, because his music is more conscious and less commercial and two, because he wasn't willing to sit in the 'director's chair' if yall know what I mean smh look it up, it is a thing.

KRIT isn't as popular as he should be for two reasons.

1.) So much of his sound was anchored on samples (he's getting much more versatile now though, as seen on Cadillactica)
2.) Game is so spoiled now. He needed to drop an album every year when he first started popping, and that hurt him. Had it been a different era, he could wait two years between each album, which actually would make him have a really long career by default. But he dropped four great free records, the retail one was built up and didn't measure up. But if all those were seen as equally important and were more spread apart, his career is seen completely differently
the main thing with Krit is his thick southern accent
wouldn't play well outside of the south and to CACs

Outside of Tip, how many rappers with thick southern accents have went mainstream?

The director's chair or 'couch' is something that every promising artist HAS to come across if they want to achieve greater fame and success with the industry's help. I have a few family members that refused to sit in the directors chair and therefore, didn't achieve the fame they wanted and eventually they quit music shortly after. They said it went against everything they stood for.

It's 2015. Nikkaz can build momentum online and get signed without having to worry bout sitting on some nikkaz lap. If you failed out the game it's all good but damn the stories they tell.

I was gonna be Biggie but I had to go the illuminati casting couch :whoa:

It's true that fools get signed often now due to internet views and yes some make remain successful independently but that shyt does still happen in 2015 trust me
