I see many people on here that claim to care about the opportunities afforded to our people. I see a lot of people talking the talk regarding group economics. So how many people are walking the walk where they can? Black banks are there to help the black entrepreneurs secure loans, to assist the young black family in obtaining a mortgage to get a decent place to live, to offer us a starting point to save for our children's education. It requires no effort to have your savings in a black bank, they are FDIC insured of course and the savings rates are on par or better than other brick-and-mortar banks. So why Slay? My 2 cents for the day.

For anyone interested in researching a black bank near you.

Checking accounts can be more of a hassle with smaller banks so MAYBE I understand having that elsewhere IF they offer better conveniences. But I don't understand why more people don't have their savings accounts, CDs, etc in our communities' banks, if they care about the state of our communities.
