Well yea.Thats some cold shyt right there lol but I think that’s a frequent thing when you lose weight. People don’t realize how they sound. It is annoying though when they say they can tell you’ve been hitting the gym. I had a coworker tell me he can tell I’ve been working out and I had to bite my tongue because I’ve always worked out. The only thing that changed was the *type* of workout I do [god bless weight training and walking] and my daily caloric intake. It just highlights how much people associate obesity with laziness and thinness with hard work.
The truth is if someone has a regular balanced diet and cuts out the junk they WILL lose weight. Add walking to that and you’ll totally change your body. I just love strength training because I have a little more leeway with my diet because of the insane calorie burn, plus I can sculpt my body. And most importantly- I get stronger and more flexible.
If one overweight and working out a lot and there’s no change then it’s like…what exactly are you doing? Just maintaining? What are you eating? That’s reality. We don’t get points or acceptance for doing things that don’t show visible results. SUCKS- but that’s how people are. If they can’t see it, they can’t tell lol

People don’t understand nutrition and how to eat properly- which really is 80% of one’s success. And it isn’t entirely their fault- health and nutrition aren’t woven into American culture like other places. Plus this country likes being fat; bad food tastes GREAT and it’s promoted on every corner!
I pigged out this holiday season because I set myself up for success end of 2024- signed up for a new bootcamp/gym so I’m back to two gym memberships like I used to have pre-Covid, cleaned out my fridge and pantry and went grocery shopping for all fruits, veggies, protein and stuff to start my broth cleanse. I know what to do and how to do it, but that’s because my family is health conscious and I paid serious money going to an establishment that combined fitness and nutrition training. I have an emergency meal plan taped to my fridge that if you follow, with no exercise, you can lose like 9lbs in 1-2 weeks. And that’s just from eating clean (no protein shakes, etc). It’s entirely possible, but American culture as a whole isn’t on that. In other countries/cultures that shyt is common knowledge by your teens.
Hell, Michelle Obama tried to bring healthier food to school lunches and folks had a conniption because she was trying to “control” America’s kids.
Americans have been lulled to sleep in more ways than one, bad nutrition being close to the top of the list. We have no real healthy aspect of our culture, so when a shortcut emerges folks hop on it.
A nation of fit, clear-minded ppl would’ve wreaked havoc on this system for various reasons yeeeeeears ago.
But, here we are. Taking shots for weightloss and then complaining about “ozempic face”.
