Why Starlito dont get love like Nipsey

Nip didn't get his props for music until after he died. That's when the album started selling, the songs starting going gold, video views went up etc. If Nip had lived I'm sure we'd have a thread asking whether he was gonna take that next step with his next album, success wise.

I think Starlito gets hurt based on where he's from and the fact that he's not making the club/trap shyt that's expected. That introspective hustler shyt resonates with people...but they have to know who you are, or be introduced to you. So that's the challenge.

Been listening to Lito since he was All Star and I love his music. He a legend IMO and personally I prefer his music to Nip's but that's just me. As far as the career shyt goes I could care less. I just care about the music and he delivers every time he involved with it (Don Trip, Trapperman Dale, Mob Squad Nard all make great music with him). He definitely has a lane which is more dark but more truthful (not throwing shots just saying how his music comes across) as far as day to day shyt, family shyt, street shyt, police brutality, and relationship shyt. He just hits you from all angles and he been doing it for years. Hell he just had a kid and pretty much dedicated a whole album towards it. He just aint marketable especially in this climate. Great track.

he’s released plenty albums you can get on Apple, the issue is he doesn’t tour a lot nationally, and he doesn’t have a strong social media presence to draw in new fans, and push his brand, it’s like If you know Lito then you fukk with him, but not many new folks discovering him

he’s definitely not the only artist like that but I definitely mess with him. Payroll Giovanni is another one in that same mold.

Starlito has a decent catalog period. He makes music for the fans that truly mess with him. A lot of cats should understand that.
