Nipsey received more love than starlito before any of those things you mentioned

Jay z will never buy 1000 starlito mixtapes

nipsey hustled hard
I doubt he bought Nip shyt just because he hustled hard. A lot of rappers hustle their music hard. Dont discount Nip being from LA.

And I can see people not liking Lito drugged out sound. His content is A1 though. Especially when it comes to women. If you know you know

nobody outside the west coast bumped nipsey like that till he passed
Nah. Nipsey was on the verge of blowing right before he died. Folks just assume his death is what put him on the map when he already had quite a following prior.
Far as Lito goes, he's the southern equivalent of many NY rappity rap mixtape rappers. Talented yet appeals mostly to the purist in rap fans. Good enough to carve out a nice lil niche fan base but nothing that stands out enough to garner mainstream shine.

Man I thought the Booth was about the music. Not about his name or his popularity or his charisma. I might as well have asked this question on shaderoom from these answers. Only a few addressed Litos music
Nah nikka, the only one coming off feminine is you getting all in your feelings just cuz dudes answered your question with facts rather than shyt you wanted to hear :stopitslime:
You asked why Starlito didn't get the same love as Nipsey and cats done told you exactly why and you're mad at em about it :dahell::mjtf:
FOH with your elitist backpacker mentality bullshyt:camby:

Nipsey didn’t get universal love and praise until he transitioned

This is not true at all. VL was one of the top selling hip hop albums of 2018 - he did close to what Nas did with Kings disease his first week. Was Grammy nominated too.

I spoke on dudes saying his name sounds stupid and he has no charisma. That shyt is clownish to me. I dont listen to a rapper because he has charisma off the mic. That's female shyt. Dude saying how can you compare a nobody to Nip. That's answering my question?

But I'm not getting into a war or words personal battle with you. It's just a conversation. Relax

Nip made way better music, was more sociable, in a way bigger market, had the gangsta rap fans from his early days but also appealed to the younger hustler/entrepreneur demographic after releasing Crenshaw with the Proud2Pay campaign (and evolving his style), was way more innovative with his business ventures outside music which gave him more press on different publications outside of Hip-Hop, was one of the few rappers that you could learn from so a lot of his interviews got chopped up and spread on social media (way before his transition), had a public relationship with Lauren London which got him more female fans from the Shade Room/Baller Alert crowd, got the conscious community in-tune with him after speaking on Dr. Sebi, he created the first smart store after linking with Idris Sandhu so he got major love in the black tech space.... I can keep going. Nipsey wasn't just a rap nikka. He touched a lot of different demographics bruh. Comparing these other rappers to him is an insult. He was way more than that and didn't hold back any knowledge from the people at all.

You asked a subjective question and are taking folks opinions personal:ufdup:
The factors needed to blow up in the industry have been here and Starlito is no exception as far as many other rappers without the "it factor" or mass marketability. Yes, names, image, charisma and such are deciding factors whether you like it or not, you either got it or you don't :manny:

I guess I should've asked why he doesn't get love like Nip in the booth. Unless dudes on here care about stuff outside of the music. I'm not taking it personal. I just had to laugh at dudes saying his name sucks and hes a nobody. I've noticed on the booth dudes will shyt on a rapper and never heard him rap before. It's crazy that that happens on a hip hop forum. It's not even about starlito at that point.

That statement about hov was just an example of how much love nipsey received before death and Lauren London

It always be the people who don't know shyt who are eager to share their ignorance or opinion online. Same exact shyt happened when Nipsey died. I would read people on this board post shyt like "Nipsey only got famous because he died, no one listened to him before." The same types to expose themselves as people who never get from under their rocks.

In any case, Lito's story plays out a lot like a Cormega, or Jacka. Independent artists that make solid music with a solid, regional fan base, but get overlooked, perhaps overshadowed by their contemporaries. For their fans, it's a travesty. For the uninitiated, they couldn't care less. Doesn't take away from the fact that Lito has been one of the strongest and most consistent writers for nearly 20 years now.

He's a "nobody" that gets praised by his collaborators, including: Kevin Gates, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Jeezy, Young Dolph, Moneybagg Yo, Curren$y and even Lil Baby, who called Lito one of his favorite rappers.

it doesn't seem like lito tries to get that big feature stimulus package, the star power of his collabs have gone down too. i'm lookin at cold turkey/fried turkey and kevin gates/young dolph are all over them and he was getting verses on their albums too. now he's making tapes with trapperman dale.
