I appreciate you digging up the numbers but you actually proved my point.
Nip did 53k first week, Nas did 47k on Kings Disease. Are we suggesting Nas isn’t a well known and respected rapper? I’m not saying actually compare Nas and Nip, I’m just saying in this day and age you can’t just look at numbers in isolation. Juice World did crazy numbers and I don’t know one of his songs.
Also - 2018 was a hell of a year for hip hop just looking at your list. Drake, Kanye, Wayne, Eminem, Kendrick (black panther soundtrack) and Migos all dropped. Nobody is saying Nip was on that level of fame but he was a known figure in hip hop for sure.

I don’t get it man. I knew a few Nip fans in my circle of my people, and I know many brehs who had Vicotry Lap on rotation especially in the gym while he was still alive.

Lito and Nip don’t even make similar music imo
I’m a fan of both...Lito is more on that introverted-anti social wave. He raps about the common shyt street nikkas deal with on a daily basis. I been a fan of Lito for many years.
Nip’s music is mostly centered on bossing up, obtaining wealth and gangbangin...the LA lifestyle.
Starlito ain’t signed to no major and is really independent. He’s also not the type to sellout for fame and clout. He has a loyal fan base that’s gonna always support him.
Lito is criminally underrated...super slept on.

Nip was gettin mad love from the industry and built up a solid hardcore following. nikka was gettin mad love and respect from cats like Nas and Jay Z and street nikkas, fans WHILE ALIVE... nobody was sayin he had millions of EMO Cac fans like today's top artists.... we sayin he had a solid following.
Lito has a core fan base he caters to, independent and eats well.I remember him saying in an interview that dealing with majors and their politics almost made him want to quit rapping. He seems to be content with his position and holds it down regionally. I like the Stepbrother tapes,the chemistry with Trip is undeniable and their concepts are incredible,that's where I think he shines the most, relatable concepts and subject matter.
