Why the Cell Saga was the best arc in DBZ.

You mixing in two sagas bruh. Its the Android Saga and then there's the Cell Saga.

i always wondered if this is how it was perceived

Saiyan to Frieza saga is some of the best storytelling in any medium. The constant waiting around and doing nothing and the shytty animation towards the end really ruin it.

Cell saga is just about powerups.

In fairness the power ups on namek where ridiculous as well, you had vegeta telling krillin to blast a hole in him just so he can get a zenkai plus piccolo fusing with nail

tbf, those are not that "ridiculous" as they tie in with past elements of the story
Zenkai - explains Goku's ability to constantly be stronger and beat people later on who beat him

Nail- Demon king piccolo and Kami were once one, so if they can do that it was only right(pending if you like the idea or not) they can fuse back.
so that already hinted or foreshadowed that Namekians can fuse and become one being


what is "ridiculous" is something like Fusion, I like it but it should be a method limited to a race similar to the Namekian fusion. it shouldnt be that everyone can do it

True but the Arcs are what people usually refer as sagas. Arcs were Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, Buu. We don't really take time to get specific like Saiyan saga, Ginyu Saga, Saiyaman saga etc.

I'm not sure if the cell saga was the best, but one thing is for sure, you can't watch the cell saga without the bruce faulconer cell theme. Some time ago, my friend wanted to watch a episode from the cell saga, however, the episode he used was from the remastered dub, I had to turn that shyt right off the moment I heard the music. I didn't care what argument he made, if I don't hear the faulconer score, i'm not watching it.
