they're like fisher price versions of gadgets that exist elsewhere that are way better

You paying for a computer that doesn't get viruses. I done been on endless porn sites and haven't had shyt wrong with my Mac (knock on wood). I got it in 2012 & its still working like its new

Marketing is part of it for the average user i'm sure, ease of use may be another incentive, design and UI may also be another. Some people don't feel how you feel about Apple products (including myself).
"way better" depends on what you're doing and what you want out of your computer. I asked him why he wants a Mac and he mentioned that he's making beats so its a software thing. As many have told me the offerings for Mac in that arena function better than their windows based counterparts.
There are some people that want Apple because they want Apple
There are others who want Apple for reasons that are specific to their needs
There are some that want Windows because they don't want Apple
There are others that want Windows for reasons specific to their needs
Whenever these debates spark you always have to approach it with "why do you want a mac?" or "Why do you wan't windows?" Just so you know who you're dealing with from the jump.

I customized my laptop with blutooth and a optical blu-ray drive so i can watch movies on the bytch. wtf is you talking about. it saves up hdd space instead of putting all my movies on my hard drive in it's raw form. It's nice to have the OPTION ya know... Wouldnt it be nice for people to have to option to watch blu-rays on their macbooks??? I seen everyone travels with them alot but from what i seen apple never implemented that feature.
Apple will NEVER put blu-ray and their customers obviously don't care.
Most modern PC's don't have blu-ray installed either.
