Oh cool. Another "justify my decision to not care about these consoles yet" thread.
For me, convenience alone made the decision for me.
Y'all can joke about the load times, but they really do make a drastic difference. Destiny 2 is less of a chore to play because I know I'm not going to spend the better part of 10 minutes or more loading between zones before I get to really playing. I don't leave Madden running for hours or days on end, because I know the process of getting into Franchise and loading a game up isn't going to take forever.
I fukked around and died in Ghost of Tsushima, and as a force of habit, I started fukking around on my phone, waiting to load back up. I died again because shyt have loaded before I even opened up a thread on here. On top of that, I'm playing it at a higher frame rate than was achievable when it came out all of four months ago.
And the difference is only going to get more drastic. Games will still be made for the One and PS4, but games like Cyberpunk that struggle to run well on that generation are likely going to be the rule, not the exception going forward.
These people are too broke to buy one or made they couldn't get one in stock
I'm waiting to get one simply because I haven't a console at launch as an adult because there's no point, I want a healthy library of games, I already beat Ghost of Tsushima, I already know what its like at 60fps because the LG CX artificial puts at 60fps in ultra color mode only adding some motion blur which isn't that big of deal
The first generation games are never a huge leap, it hasn't been that way since dreamcast game out when Sonic Adventure blew away anything out
its always taken a year or two since, ps4 wasn't shyt until 2015 when Arkham knight and witcher 3, and all those games came out, that's two years into the console's life cycle
people who want early that's there choice, consoles aren't that expensive, to where its a big deal, I'm not ever go back to consoles, because the sony exclusives are coming over, Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn are proof, and they are just so much better on PC even on a cheap ass 180 dollar graphics card, than the console version, there's no point of having a console
consoles are really for kids, they turning more and more into gaming PCs and will soon reach limitations where PC gaming will be the norm, and Nintendo switch that type shyt will be the only console type of shyt because it makes sense
These consoles are struggling with current gen games to get 60fps and even 4k, I don't know why anyone will want to play next gen games like cyberpunk on these consoles, its going to be 30fps across the board
Spider-Man was the only reason I would get a ps5, but now that the ps4 era is over the ps4 emulator is already close to being finished for PC so the PS4 versions of these games will look better than the ps5 on the PC, I mean I would never have played breath of the wild if it wasn't for emulation because I'm not buying a kids toy to play one game like the switch, and the game continues to evolve, 60fps plus, HDR, 4k textures, etc, the community went hard improving that game beyond the shytty switch version
