The majority of male singing I hear is coming from subpar rappers masking their limitations with autotune and other voice distortion type aids. I’ve heard more “singing” from Young Thug, Yung Bleu, Rod Wave, and Roddy Ricch than actual R&B singers, and that’s a damn shame

people still respect dancing, but folks aint generally making dance music. nomani gets props for her dancing, the only thing people universally could agree on about tinashe was that she's a decent dancer, dancing is what made Ciara stand out, and Chris Brown still leaves people when he has a choreographed video...

but this new wave a down tempo or new neo soul music people like SiR, Khalid, Khelani, etc make doesn't lend to dancing

I can see this. I think I've only heard Aaliyah hit one highish note on one I gave my heart to not any other songs though, never heard Mya hit one either.
